Isocyanates & Nitroaromatics

Chematur Engineering uses its own pump nitration technology in which nitration takes place in a pump in less than a second due to the intensive mixing. The pump nitration concept is applied for nitroaromatics such as nitrobenzene, feedstock for aniline and MDI, and dinitrotoluene, feedstock for TDI. The advantages with the process are high safety, no emergency power required, selective degree of nitration, minimum side reactions, high utilization of the nitric acid, and easy and accurate scaling up and down.


Aniline

The aniline technology offered by IBI Chematur is from Chematur Engineering and is characterized by its high product purity and safety system for handling Hydrogen at very high pressure. The technology offered is one of the best consisting of liquid phase hydrogenation system and efficient recovery of energy through waste heat boilers, effective catalyst recovery through filtration system.

TDI and MDI

The Chematur Engineering technology for TDI and MDI are very economic and versatile systems, having the highest safety in operation available. The system use low pressure in the phosgenation, and phosgene is produced at the rate it is consumed. There is no liquification and no storage of liquid or gaseous phosgene. The plants are supplied with a wastes treating sytem handling the waste water resulting in no organic waste streams. A number of safety systems have been developed, to ensure raliable and safe operation. All commercial product qualities can be produced in the TDI and MDI processes.
