The most important manufacturing process for hydrogen peroxide involves the catalytic reductoni (hydrogenation) of anthraquinone and oxidation of this product to yeild hydrogen peroxide and the original anthraquinone. Hydrogen peroxide is being used in more and more bleaching applications to meet increasing demand for environmentally friendly production.
